What this service is
DeskKit is a set of document, image and data tools that run inside your web browser. For every free tool, and for the paid one, the work happens on your own computer. We do not receive your files.
Some tools load a processing library into your browser the first time you use them. That library comes from our own server and reads your file locally. Your file itself is not sent anywhere.
Who you are buying from
If you take a paid plan, the seller of record is FastSpring, not us. They handle the payment, the invoice and any tax that applies where you live, under their own terms and privacy notice. Your card details are entered into their secure form and never reach us.
We provide the service; FastSpring sells access to it.
The plan
A plan costs $20 a month or $180 a year and covers every paid tool on the site, including ones we add later. The free tools stay free regardless — there is no page cap, no watermark and no account needed for them.
You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next payment; the plan you already paid for runs to the end of that period rather than being cut off immediately.
Your account
An account is an email address. There is no password: when you want to sign in we email you a single-use link that works for twenty minutes. If you lose access to that mailbox, you lose access to the account, so use one you will keep.
Fair use
There is no server doing the work, so there is nothing to overload and no quota to police. We only ask that you do not resell access to the paid tools or try to pass our pages off as your own.
What we do not promise
The tools are provided as they are. We test them, and the tests are part of the source, but we cannot promise that every file in the world will convert perfectly — PDFs in particular are a messy format and some are built in ways no reader handles well.
Because the work happens on your machine and we never hold your file, we cannot recover anything for you. Keep your originals.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will say so on the site before it takes effect. Changing a price never affects a period you have already paid for.
